Ex Leicester men and released players in moves as Kasper Schmeichel join Celtic and Jonny Evans pen new deal at Man Utd
Kasaer Schmeichel has decided to join Celtic and having his reunion with Brendan Rodgers. He is replacing Joe Hart, who decided to retire after last season, funnily enough both had a life at Man City and it was Hart winning the battle with Schmeichel for the goalkeeper job at the time, seeing Kasper moving around to different destinations, finally ending up at Leicester in 2011, being the first choice for so many seasons and during that time winning the FA Cup and Premier League titles.
Kelechi Iheanacho is also seen in the rumour mill, being seen as a possible new man for West Ham. Aston Villa and Wolves are other clubs seen as possible destinations for the Nigerian international. Still only 27 years of age and one that opted to become a free agent this summer, coming to Leicester from Man City in 2017, playing a total of 232 official games, scoring 61 goals.
Former Leicester defender Richard Stearman has at the age of 36, turning 37 in August, made a decision to retire as a player after dropping into non-league football last season. He joined Solihull Moors for a season, playing 27 league games. He left Leicester in 2008 to join Wolves.
Nottingham Forest is said to have offered Chris Wood a new one year extension to his current deal at City Ground. Nothing yet confirmed if he decides to put pen to paper or will like to look at other options available, and rumoured to be considering a reunion with Steve Cooper at Leicester, if that becomes an option.
