Charlton Athletic and Barnsley rivals ‘closing in’ on Premier League coup ahead of season openers

Charlton Athletic will kick off their League One campaign with a trip to Wigan Athletic on August 10 and the Latics could field a former Premier League star following his release from London club Fulham.

Francois featured in the FA Cup against Rotherham and the Carabao Cup against Tottenham Hotspur this season, as well as finding himself an unused substitute in five Premier League matches.
