Spurs-linked winger decides to stay with current club – Sky Sports reporter reveals
Tottenham Hotspur have already been linked with an abundance of different players over the course of the summer transfer window, however, it appears that one of those names will not be on the move.
No Tottenham move for Chris Fuhrich
Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, a name that many Spurs fans will recognise for his continual reporting last summer ahead of Harry Kane‘s move to Bayern Munich has delivered an update on the future of Chris Fuhric.
Plettenberg has taken to social media platform x to reveal that the winger has rejected all opportunities to leave Stuttgart this summer and will instead remain with the Bundesliga side.
The reporter wrote on X: “Chris Führich will stay VfB.
“The 26 y/o winger has rejected all options as he has decided to continue with Stuttgart. Führich has already informed Sebastian Hoeneß about his decision.”
Fuhrich will remain with Stuttgart this season
CaughtOffSide reported last month that the 26-year-old was attracting interest from both Tottenham and Chelsea
Fuhrich could have been available for a transfer fee of around €23m-€25m for English clubs due to a clause in his contract, which expired on July 19th (Florian Plettenberg).

Tottenham were right not to try to push for a move for Fuhrich, who did not exactly catch the eye at Euro 2024 and is not exactly a significant upgrade on his compatriot Timo Werner.
Instead, the North Londoners need to be focusing on bringing in a player who can substantially improve the starting eleven such as Eberechi Eze, rather than provide cover on the bench.
Tottenham have been actively seeking a new number 9 this summer, to fill the void left by Harry Kane.
Spurs have targeted several strikers as they search for both a buyer for Richarlison and a high-profile replacement.
Another report from Saudi outlet, Al-Riyadiah has reported the same and stated that the Jeddah based club has made Richarlison their top target.
The mega rich Saudi club have expressed a desire to sign Richarlison, with Tottenham valuing him at around £60 million. Despite Richarlison having three years left on his contract, which runs until 2027, Spurs are eager to sell him due to dissatisfaction with his inconsistency.
