Sheffield United won the South Yorkshire derby this afternoon at the New York Stadium with both sides taking the chance of looking at different playing staff.

Rotherham United started with Johnson Clarke-Harris wearing the captains armband making his first start since joining in the summer and Sheffield United starting with former Miller Kieffer Moore up front with the referee being Darren Drysdale.

It was the Blades who had an early chance with Gustavo Hamer getting a shot away which was easy for Dillon Phillips in the Millers goal. A good run from Moore saw the ball end up with Hamer who got free of his marker to get a shot away which brought off a good save from the Millers ‘keeper with the resulting corner coming to nothing.
