Neil Critchley states Blackpool’s transfer plans will not be influenced by their start to the League One season.

The Seasiders started the campaign with a 2-1 defeat away to Crawley Town, before losing 3-0 to Stockport County at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

A poor throw from Blackpool goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw led to the second goal, with Jayden Fevrier capitalising on the mistake to double his team’s advantage. Isaac Olafoe was only introduced in the 87th minute but the 24-year-old scored an excellent goal to wrap up the three points and take Stockport County to the top of the League One table.

21-year-old Lewis Bate, who wears the number four shirt and captained the side, was awarded the man of the match after another impressive outing since joining on a free transfer from Leeds United. The midfielder provided the assist for the second goal completed a joint-high 58 passes and contributed four successful tackles, second only to Blackpool defender Matthew Pennington.
