Jenson Seelt drops three-word verdict as he watches Sunderland 1-0 Burnley from the stands
Sunderland continued their perfect start to the campaign with a 1-0 victory at home to Burnley.
Since his appointment, Regis Le Bris’ appointment at the Stadium of Light was viewed pessimistically by many as a result of his lack of experience in the Championship, however those doubters have been left stunned after Sunderland won a third Championship game in a row, leaving them top of the league.
The Black Cats came away with a 1-0 win at the Stadium of Light courtesy of a goal from Romaine Mundle in the middle of the first half, and every bit of credit should be handed to Sunderland for being able to hold on against a recently-relegated Burnley side that are one of the favourites to return to the Premier League this season.
Although Jack Clarke has now moved on from the Stadium of Light, they proved that they can perform against the Championship heavy-hitters this season, and this was recognised by defender Jenson Seelt, who issued a message to the Sunderland side on Social Media after the big victory.

Dutch centre-back Seelt signed for Sunderland last season from PSV, however his gametime in the 2023/24 campaign was hampered as a result of a serious knee injury in the latter stages of the year.
Whilst he continues his recovery, he was at the Stadium of Light, where he witnessed the brilliant performance by Le Bris’ side, and the defender took to his Instagram to write ‘Cmonnnn 3 points’.
It was a third win and a third clean sheet for Le Bris’ side so far, and expectations are already looking to be understated, as many are questioning whether Sunderland could do something special at these early stages.
