Fulham vs Ipswich Town early injury news with 4 out and 1 doubt

Fulham are set to enjoy clean bill of health as they make the trip to Suffolk

Marco Silva’s Fulham are soon to be facing the newly promoted Ipswich Town as the sides prepare for their third Premier League clash of the 2024/25 campaign. The Cottagers come into the match full of confidence after back-to-back wins, while Ipswich will first take on AFC Wimbledon as they hope to progress through to the third round of the EFL Carabao Cup.

After an opening day defeat to Manchester United, in which debutant Joshua Zirkzee scored what would prove to be the decisive goal, the Cottagers then came back to secure a 2-1 win at home over Leicester City with Emile Smith Rowe scoring his first in black and white. Silva’s squad are now also safely through to the third round of the EFL Cup following their 2-0 victory over Birmingham City with ex-Blues loanee Jay Stansfield handing his former fans Carabao Cup heart-break.

Now however, the focus returns once again to the Premier League and while Silva will benefit from a fully fit squad, Ipswich have not been afforded the same luck as they continue to hunt for their first win of the 2024/25 campaign.

Here are the latest injury concerns from both Craven Cottage and Portman Road camps…

Ipswich Town

Harry Clarke – OUT

Clark continues to recover from his achilles operation which was undertaken in May. The star tweeted after his surgery: “As the people closest to me know, the last two seasons I’ve struggled with some pretty bad Achilles issues. Road to recovery and to the Premier League starts now.”

The defender is expected back mid-October.

George Hirst – OUT

After missing a large amount of the 2023/24 promotion-achieving campaign through a hamstring injury, the striker then suffered a further knock in pre-season. He is expected to make a return in October with Kieran McKenna saying of the striker’s injury on August 10: “It’s not as bad as it could have been, thankfully. There’s a possibility of recovery of around eight weeks from the surgery. Of course, it’s not great news, and of course, it’s a big loss. On the other hand, it could have been more serious.”
