Leeds United target keen on £10m move to Elland Road
Leeds United target Roland Sallai is reportedly keen on a move to Elland Road today amid interest from the Whites, as per GIVEMESPORT.
Leeds United will be eyeing a Premier League return this season following their play-off final appearance last time around.
Daniel Farke’s side weren’t able to return to the top flight immediately, but remain in a strong position to compete again this year.
Failure to get over the line last season has led to them having more of a hectic window than they probably would have liked, but their squad is beginning to take shape and more incomings can be expected.
Interest in Sallai first surfaced last week with reports in Hungary claiming the Whites were eyeing a deal.
Now, GIVEMESPORT claim Leeds United are still pushing hard to sign Sallai in a deal worth around £10m and they are trying to secure a deal as fast as possible over fears another club may hijack their attempt late on.\
The report states the Whites believe Sallai wants the move and they are expecting an update by early this afternoon.
Last season he managed eight goals and four assists in 37 games across all competitions.
The versatile attacker plays mainly off the right, but can fill a gap almost anywhere across the front four which makes him a handy player to have, especially over a long season.
In his 162 outings for Freiburg he has managed 27 goals and 23 assists and has picked up 52 caps for Hungary over his career, scoring 13 times.
Leeds United have lost some big names this summer, but they do appear to be targeting some exciting ones to come in.
Farke’s side are unbeaten after three so far in the Championship. Two draws and a win has opened their campaign and they have taken up an early position in the division’s top six.
