Everton are interested in £120k-a-week player from Newcastle on deadline day
Everton will go into today’s deadline day full of hope that, by the end of it, their squad is even stronger than it started.
And, with all the transfer rumours swirling around Goodison Park, there’s no reason why that hope cannot become a reality.

The latest on this particular transfer saga, as the window reaches its triumphant conclusion, comes courtesy of Fabrizio Romano.
And, speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he suggests that all is not lost in Everton’s pursuit of Kieran Trippier, even if links have cooled somewhat in the past few days.
He would claim: ‘They are one to watch for sure, because they will be active on several positions. For example, something up front – I still think that something could happen in terms of opportunities up front, and they need something else.
‘There was interest in Kieran Trippier for the right-back position, but at the moment, it is still not easy on both the player and club side with Newcastle. But I think Everton will be another club who will be very active in the final days.’
Eddie Howe has been vocal about his desire for the £120k-a-week full-back to stay, but Sean Dyche‘s long-term relationship with him could prove pivotal.
Kieran Trippier would perfect Everton’s transfer window
Were they to tempt Trippier from Tyneside to Merseyside, just after Everton have completed a deal for Orel Mangala too, it would surely cap off a near-perfect window for the Toffees.
Especially if Ernest Nuamah was snagged from Lyon as well.
