Crystal Palace return to action on Saturday and in front of their own fans at Selhurst Park. The Eagles, who are still searching for their first win of the Premier League campaign, go up against Leicester City, who have also picked up just one point from their first three games of the campaign.
Palace put on a strong display to win a point at Chelsea before the international break, and they will be desperate to build on that momentum in a game they should be looking to win at home. Here we take a look at the injury news surrounding both clubs heading into the premier League clash.
Stolarczyk is out for around six months with a serious knee injury and will be looking to return in the new year. Steve Cooper said in the summer: “It’s really unfortunate – he had a very innocuous injury in training and it’s ended up being really serious. He’s had to have an operation on his ankle and he’s going to be out for a long time.
“It couldn’t be any more bad luck. He’s found himself in a tough situation. He did it on the day we flew to Evian. I feel for the boy. I’ve heard some really good things about him, and how talented he is. The club is very well set up in terms of how they support players. We’ll get him back as quickly as possible. I think it will be around six months.”
Daka will be out until around November with an ankle injury that required surgery. Cooper said at the time: “He suffered a quite serious ankle injury last week in the game at Lens and he is going to be out for a good few months. He had an operation today, so that’s really unfortunate for him because he was looking good in in pre-season.”
