Although their opening fixture list has been challenging, including play-off semi-finalists West Bromwich Albion, many Swans fans will be content with their sides opening performances, and will be hoping for a return to winning ways against Norwich.

The Canaries have also struggled so far in the opening part of the season, recording only a single win in their most recent fixture, a 1-0 victory away at FA Cup semi-finalists Coventry City, alongside two draws to recently-relegated Sheffield United and a strong Blackburn Rovers side.

Norwich manager Johannes Hoff Thorup will be hoping to continue his sides’ winning streak against the Swans to continue their bid for a play-off place finish, with this season being their third-consecutive in the English second-tier. With winger Kaide Gordon being brought in on loan, Hoff Thorup has filled a void in the team left by the departure of Jonathan Rowe to French side Marseille, and will be looking for the Liverpool loanee to make an instant impact for the Canaries.

Liam Cullen called up to Wales squad

Swansea head coach Luke Williams will be left to choose between 22-year-old Slovenian forward Zan Vipotnik or loyal servant Liam Cullen, with the latter being doubtful due to an ankle injury sustained in training ahead of the international break.

French winger Florian Bianchini will also be looking to break into the starting XI after joining the Swans during the back end of the summer transfer window from French Ligue 2 side Bastia.
