Now, with over a quarter of the season gone and 12 games played, Leeds supporters are in a much stronger place to make a judgement on what they have seen regarding the potential of this Whites squad and the impact the summer signings
The 26-year-old late arrival from Fortuna Dusseldorf has only recently been handed an opportunity to impress in Daniel Farke’s line-up, with injuries to Etan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev pushing Tanaka to the forefront of the team. The central midfielder has risen to the challenge and against Watford and Sheffield United in particular, gave two standout displays.
Of the new arrivals, a third of Leeds fans picked Largie Ramazani as the player they’re most looking forward to seeing, a figure which has potentially been diluted a little due to the winger’s injury which is set to sideline him until closer to Christmas time.
