MICHAEL ESSIEN OPENS UP ON LIFE AS A COACH AND HIS EXPERIENCES WITH JOSE MOURINHO
Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has shared his insights on life as a coach and his experiences working with Jose Mourinho. In a recent interview, Essien revealed that he now understands why Mourinho would often get angry during their time together at Chelsea.

– Essien, who hung up his boots in 2017, has been pursuing a career in coaching. He is currently working as an assistant coach for the Danish club, FC Nordsjælland.
– “I’m enjoying my time as a coach,” Essien said. “It’s a different challenge, but I’m learning every day and trying to pass on my experience to the players.”

– Essien played under Mourinho during their time together at Chelsea, where they won two Premier League titles and an FA Cup.
– “Jose is a winner,” Essien said. “He wants to win every game, and that’s what makes him so successful. I now understand why he would get angry sometimes. He’s passionate about the game, and he wants the best from his players.”
