CSick People Out There' -- NFL Fans Concerned for Joe Burrow Over Break-In at Bengals QB's Homeincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow issued a short message on social media to fans in the wake of his team being eliminated from the playoffs over the weekend.

Over on Instagram, Burrow wrote the following in the caption of a picture: “Season to remember, sorry you won’t get to watch anymore. Year 5 in the books.”

Notably, said picture was a snapshot of Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins walking out onto the field together as team captains for a coin toss.

That feels pretty notable in the wake of the Bengals firing defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo and other coaches after Burrow has made it clear publicly over the last five weeks that he wants the team to do whatever it takes to keep that trio together.

While the season didn’t end like Bengals fans might’ve hoped (preferably with those guys going back to New Orleans for a Super Bowl), Burrow’s upbeat  message and the hope of lessons learned and big changes make it easy to be positive for 2025.

An insider who knows both Burrow, 28, and Ponton, 22, tells PEOPLE exclusively, “They have been hooking up since the early fall and are keeping it casual.”

Reps for Burrow and Ponton did not immediately reply to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The police reprt obtained by PEOPLE marked the first time the couple was linked, and sparked speculation about how long they’ve been together prior to the reported break-in at the NFL star’s Anderson Township residence

According to the police report, the TikTok star reported the break-in at Burrow’s home around 8:14 p.m., telling authorities that when she arrived she noticed a “shattered bedroom window and the room ransacked.”

Ponton, who has over 10 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, called her mother, “prompting the 911 call,” the report adds. Once deputies arrived at the property, they cleared the home and the Criminal Intelligence Section (CIS) captured pictures and evidence of the scene.

Burrow, meanwhile, was “was out of town” playing in Dallas when the robbery occurred and couldn’t report what items had been taken, according to the police. Ponton, described as an employee for Burrow in the police report, shared a list of what was “possibly missing.
