The Las Vegas Raiders have been at the front and center of the NFL news cycle this week following the firing of first-year head coach Antonio Pierce.

Unlike last season, which saw Maxx Crosby advocate for Pierce and have a major influence on who the Raiders hired, the two-time All-Pro out of Eastern Michigan made it clear that he doesn’t plan on being involved in any personnel decisions this time around. An admission that may be a form of him saying he was wrong about how confident he was in last year’s interim head coach.

In his first episode back, he addressed the firing of Pierce, and also made a concerning admission that has fans worried about his future in Las Vegas.

“I believed in AP,” Crosby stated. “It’s unfortunate… Being with the Raiders, I’m gonna be on a new head coach again. This will be the fifth head coach I’ve had, or whatever. So we’ll see.

Crosby has made it clear throughout the year that he plans on being with the team, but he is clearly frustrated with the franchise’s struggles.

So, with his podcast firing back up, it’ll certainly be interesting to see if he makes any more comments that hint towards him being unhappy. Or, on the contrary, he assures fans that he is, in fact, a Raider for life.

That is what Penn State’s wide receivers did on Thursday. All of them. Combined.

They caught zero passes. It does not matter how good your running game is, how good your tight ends are, what your quarterback does or what your defense does, it is going to be nearly impossible to win a national title getting, quite literally, nothing from your wide receivers in the biggest game of the season.

Quarterback Drew Allar also had a miserable game, struggling with his accuracy and throwing an interception at the worst possible time. He also had two interceptions in the end zone negated by Notre Dame penalties, and missed a wide open touchdown early in the game resulting in Penn State having to settle for a field goal.

Penn State coach James Franklin will take a lot of heat for losing another big game to a top-five team.
