Randy Orton took the stage during the 11/8 episode of WWE SmackDown and immediately called out Kevin Owens. K.O. attacked Orton during Crown Jewel 2024 and the onslaught eventually led to their match being canceled. Despite not participating in a proper match, Orton and Owens went to war. Their battle ended after Owens left Randy unable to walk out on his own.
This week, Orton was out for revenge and called Owens to the ring. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned for the Viper. A brawl broke out and security was somehow able to separate the two. But, Owens used the security’s distraction to his advantage and drove Randy into the ground with a Piledriver.
Now, the Piledriver has been banned for a while because of how dangerous it is and to use such a move on Orton who already has a long history of back injuries was brutal from Owens. After eating such a devastating slam, the Viper lay motionless and had to be stretchered out of the arena
Cody Rhodes, who is the reason behind this feud between Owens and Randy also showed up and accompanied Orton to the hospital. We still don’t have any details regarding Orton’s injury but the fact that Owens used a banned move suggests that this could be story related.
