If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s how close Simone Biles and her younger sister, Adria, are. Simone has always spoken so highly of her sister, even saying in 2016, “She’s also kind and humble, and I’m so proud to have her as my sister.” It’s clear that the bond between the two is strong, and even though Simone has become a global gymnastics icon, Adria’s been right there cheering her on. So, when Adria turned 26 on January 27, Simone made sure to celebrate her most sweetly.

Over on Instagram, Simone posted a picture of the two of them in night suits, laughing together with Adria’s hair down in that signature pilates-style look. The sisters created a cozy ambiance on the bed while white sheets enhanced the entire scene’s perfection. Simone captioned the photo with a heartwarming messageMany people confuse Biles’ sisters for twins because of the similarities.   Growing up in a gymnastics household, Adria was always inspired by Simone. She was an elite gymnast for 10 years and even competed in high school. Adria remembers how, as kids, they used to jump off the second-floor railing onto the couch below. Simone would always go first, and Adria would follow her fearless lead. Simone even took on a motherly role for Adria, especially after their time in foster care before being adopted by their grandparents.

As Simone Biles earned worldwide recognition Adria has remained her steadfast supporter from the beginning down to the present day. Adria marked Simone’s Olympic victories in 2024 by posting an Instagram post that proclaimed her older sister the “coolest big sister.” Throughout Simone’s toughest career moments, Adria supported her unconditionally from when Simone chose to withdraw from Tokyo Olympic events because of mental health concerns. Adria shows unwavering dedication to being by her sibling’s side.

Aside from being known as her Goat gymnast’s sister, Adria has earned her name too. Her role at Simone’s wedding brought her into the spotlight as one of the bridesmaids before she appeared on Claim to Fame where she kept her identity under wraps during the show. Adria performed with the Houston Astros’ Shooting Stars team. Throughout everything Simone has faced, Adria has always stood by her side. Simone Biles maintains with Adria a unique bond that stands alone among relationships.
