West Ham battling Arsenal to sign Pablo Maia for £9 million in the summer transfer window

Pablo Maia has previously been linked with a move to West Ham, with Brazilian media stating he might be available for as little as £9 million, but Arsenal are also interested in signing him.

Hammers manager David Moyes certainly wants to bolster his central midfield options this summer, but whether he will be granted the opportunity remains to be seen.
Edson Alvarez has performed admirably for us, but we have little in reserve if the Mexican is absent for an extended amount of time, with the exception of Kalvin Phillips, who is on loan.

Although Maia is not yet a polished product, I believe he would be an excellent addition to West Ham if the club can outbid Arsenal for his services. According to the Daily Mail, the 22-year-old is a transfer target for the Hammers and Arsenal this summer.
Maia, the Sao Paulo star, is a terrific talent who would be a fantastic addition to Moyes’ squad this summer.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder is a fierce tackler. He has a wealth of stamina, energy, and enthusiasm, as well as very excellent technical ability, as one would expect from a Brazilian.
The Maia’s attractiveness is in his ability to play as both a traditional central midfielder and a number 10!
I believe the Sao Paulo midfielder is perfectly suited to the physicality and tempo of Premier League game.
And if West Ham can beat Arsenal to the acquisition of Pablo Maia this summer, we should all be quite excited.
