Newcastle United Are Showing Interest In This Bournemouth Striker: What Will He Bring To Tyneside?.
Newcastle United are interested in Bournemouth striker as they aim to bolster their attack this summer.
The Chronicle reported recently that Newcastle United are interested in Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke. It has been reported that the Magpies are looking to sign the English forward from the Cherries during the summer transfer window.Solanke’s impressive record in English football.
This season, Solanke has been instrumental in the English club’s excellent goal-scoring performances. This season, the English star has performed admirably for the Cherries, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in 29 matches across many competitions.
The 26-year-old has been a decent final third player in the Premier League, averaging 3.2 shots, 0.9 critical passes, and 1.1 dribbles per 90 minutes. He has even distributed the ball relatively successfully in the opponent’s half, completing 75.2% of his attempted passes in the English first division (data from whoscored).
His current contract at Bournemouth will run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, the Magpies would have to launch a convincing offer if they are serious about bringing him to St. James’ Park later this year.
Solanke is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has proven himself to be a capable finisher in front of the opponent’s goal this season. The English sensation can even create some decent openings for others around him in the final third. He can also make some well-timed runs in behind the opposition backline.
At the moment, Solanke is playing some of the best football of his young career. Hence, it is only logical for Newcastle United to try and arrange a move for him at the end of this season.
At 26, Solanke is about to enter his prime soon which makes him a good option for the Magpies to pursue in the summer. We can expect him to bring more firepower to Eddie Howe’s frontline at St. James’ Park. Plus, he would offer some serious competition for Alexander Isak at the Tyneside club in the coming seasons.
