Kalen DeBoer and his colleagues are not wasting time. Bama247 is still confirming visitors for when the Dead Period ends, and one of the most recent is a prospect who is slated to arrive on campus shortly after March 3.
Four-star offensive tackle Marcus Garcia (Denton, TX) will be visiting Tuscaloosa for the first time, but he will be surrounded by old faces. Garcia was recruited by DeBoer and Alabama football general manager Courtney Morgan while at Washington, and he has a close relationship with Eron Hodges, associate director of player personnel, from his time at TCU.
Alabama’s new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Nick Sheridan, provided his first public appraisal of Jalen Milroe, the Crimson Tide’s returning starting quarterback, during an interview on The Next Round on Wednesday morning.
“He’s an extremely talented and hardworking individual,” Sheridan explained. “Everyone knows how explosive he is as a runner, but I believe he is also a really explosive passer. “He has an extremely strong arm.”
Milroe started thirteen games for Alabama in 2023. He had 3,676 yards of total offence (2,834 passing, 842 rushing) and 35 touchdowns (23 passing, 12 rushing). He had a passer rating of 172.17, which put him fifth nationwide. He led the Crimson Tide to the SEC Championship, the College Football Playoff, and first-place votes for the Heisman Trophy.
