VALENTINO ROSSI’S FORGOTTEN PROTÉGÉ SPEAKS OUT: “PEOPLE DON’T KNOW THE BACKGROUND”
Luca Marini, a former protégé of Valentino Rossi, has spoken out about his time under the tutelage of the Italian motorcycle racing legend. Marini, who currently competes in the MotoGP World Championship, has revealed that he feels he is often overlooked and underestimated, despite having a strong background in the sport.

“I think people don’t know the background, they don’t know how hard I worked to get here,” Marini said in an interview. “I was a young rider, and I had the opportunity to work with Valentino Rossi, which was an incredible experience. But sometimes I feel like people forget about my past and the hard work I put in to get to where I am today.”

Marini worked with Rossi at the VR46 Riders Academy, a racing school founded by the Italian legend. Marini credits Rossi with teaching him valuable lessons about the sport and helping him to develop his skills as a rider.
“Working with Valentino was an incredible experience,” Marini said. “He taught me so much about the sport, not just about riding, but also about the mental and physical preparation required to compete at the highest level.”

Marini is currently competing in the MotoGP World Championship, where he rides for the VR46 Racing Team. Despite facing stiff competition, Marini has shown promising form, scoring points in several races and demonstrating his potential as a top-level rider.
“I’m feeling good, I’m feeling confident,” Marini said. “I know I have the speed and the talent to compete with the best riders in the world. I just need to keep working hard and believing in myself.”
