Will Nelly Korda continue dominating the LPGA Tour in 2025? The world no. 1 had an incredible year capturing 7 victories throughout the season. Her incredible run from January to April 2024 saw her capture a record-breaking 5 titles in a row.
That was not all that she had won. Nelly Korda also showcased some brilliant strokeplay to help Team USA capture the 2024 Solheim Cup. Her intense battle with Charley Hull was the highlight of the tournament as the two ladies went back and forth until the very last stroke. Korda was also named the 2024 Rolex Player of the Year thanks to the splendid season she had.
But all that is in the past now. As Nelly Korda enjoys her time off from professional golf, the anticipation of her next appearance will grow. Fans must be eager to know when the world no. 1 will be back on course next.
The LPGA Tour 2025 season will kick off with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. The event is scheduled from January 30 to February 2, 2025. The 4 round tournament has had Nelly Korda as a part of the field for the past three years. But will the pro from the USA come back to the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in 2025?
There is no such confirmation of the same. While the schedule for the entire season is out, the field for none of the LPGA Tour events has been confirmed yet. Considering that Korda has come really close to winning the event twice on the last 3 occasions, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if she has another go at it at the end of January 2025.
Another big motivator for the 26-year-old to participate in the event would be the fact that someone in her family has already won it once. Yes, her elder sister, Jessica Korda was the 2021 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions winner. More recently, Nelly Korda’s on-course adversary Lydia Ko was the last winner of the event. These two reasons should be encouraging enough for the 15x LPGA Tour winner to participate in the 2025 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.
