At the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday, one of the most genuinely optimistic athletes in the Nick Saban era at the University of Alabama shared a touching tribute in honour of his mother. Tamala Arnold witnessed her son progress from a five-star athlete in the 2021 recruiting class in Tallahassee, Fla., to a probable first-round pick.

He witnessed him go through problems at Alabama, but the confidence she provided him would not allow him to stop.
Arnold observed her son develop into one of the top cornerbacks in the Southeastern Conference and college football. She regarded him as the driving force behind “Let All Naysayers Know,” or LANK, which propelled the Crimson Tide’s defence to the SEC Championship and College Football Playoff. She went through a lot, but seeing her son pay tribute to mom on national television was special.
Arnold glanced into the TV cameras via NFL Network following his on-field Combine workout to hug on his mother.
“Mom, if you are watching this right now, your son just wants to say how proud he is of you,” Arnold went on to say. “You had me at a young age, and you overcome a lot of challenges. People were doubting you and counting you out, but mum, as I always say, you raised a star. I just want to say, ‘I love you, Tamala Arnold. I am right here, the entire world is watching, and I am grateful to have you as a mother. Like I stated, you overcome a lot, and with that, I will continue to shine.”
Arnold also paid tribute to his hometown, Tallahassee, and expressed his wish that everyone there is proud of him.
