Ex-Lakers Champion & 4-Time All-Star Retires From NBA.

org Rajon Rondo, a guard with the Los Angeles Lakers, turned 38 lately and hasn’t appeared on the court since the 2021–2022 season. It appears that the seasoned guard won’t be making a victorious return.

Rondo declared his formal retirement from the NBA.

When asked if he is retired, Rondo responded, “Absolutely,” on the April 1 episode of the podcast “All the Smoke.” Yes, I’m done. I would prefer to be with my children.

Rondo had a significant role in two different championship campaigns. He started as the Boston Celtics’ starting point guard during their 2008 championship run, and the Lakers used him in rotation throughout their 2020 championship drive.

Before being traded to Boston, Rondo was originally selected by the Phoenix Suns with the No. 21 selection in the NBA Draft. He assumed a significant position for the Celtics quite fast. Boston was thought to have a Big Three during that time, consisting of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett, but with Rondo, who was a member of four straight All-Star teams from 2009 to 2013, it was actually a Big Four.

Rondo was selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team twice, the NBA All-NBA Third Team, and the NBA assists leader three times in addition to his All-Star selections.

Rondo Rajon Enjoyed Every Second of Her NBA Career
Over the course of his career, Rajon Rondo played for nine different clubs, or about a third of the NBA. He was unable to maintain a long-term residence following his nine seasons in Boston. But he’s not moaning about it. He is content with the path his career took.

About his career, Rondo remarked, “What a time.” Unquestionably, during my time in the game, I never took anything for granted. I treasured the brothers I was able to develop and grow with throughout the years, and I enjoyed every second of it. This game taught me so much, and it helped shape me into the guy I am today.

Although Rondo had some personal problems and could be challenging at times, his teammates always had respect for him. In the most important situations, he was also renowned for playing his best basketball.
