According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham Hotspur have now reached out over a potential deal for Jobe Bellingham this summer.
Jobe, who is the brother of Real Madrid star Jude, is also a number ten by trade but like his brother, he is quite versatile and has been used in a number of various positions.
The 18-year-old has had an exceptional first season at Sunderland since joining the club from Birmingham City last summer and it first emerged ahead of the January transfer window that Spurs are keeping tabs on the youngster (Football Insider).
Just a couple of days ago, The Guardian reporter Ed Aarons, suggested that Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and several other clubs across Europe have expressed an interest in securing the teenager this summer.
The journalist explained that the Black Cats are reluctant to let the starlet leave and are expected to demand in excess of £20m for his services.
TEAMtalk have now also confirmed that Bellingham is very much on Tottenham’s radar, with Ange Postecoglou’s men said to have been left impressed with his displays a the Stadium of Light this season.
The report adds that Spurs have made the England Under-19 star a ‘key target’ this summer and have now emerged as the favourites to land him.
In fact, it is asserted that the Lilywhites have already initiated contact with the player’s entourage and are now keen to understand the conditions of any potential deal.

There are many similarities between Jude’s trajectory and that of his brother and it is understandably why Tottenham do not want to miss out on a potential generational talent are seeking to secure the 18-year-old before his value skyrockets.
