Bournemouth have agreed to pay Sheffield United £1.5 million to complete the signing of Daniel Jebbison.
According to Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam, the Canada-born forward is closing in on a move to the Premier League side.
Jebbison walked away from the Blades at the end of the season, turning down a new contract offer which was described by the club as ‘lucrative’.
Due to Jebbison still being 20 years of age, Sheffield United were due to be owed a figure from whatever club he next signed for.
This fee can be negotiated between clubs, or could be determined by an independent tribunal.
Jebbison made his senior debut at age of 17 in a Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace in May 2021, which ended 2-0 to the Eagles.

He also became the youngest player in Premier League history to score on their first start, bagging the winner in a 1-0 victory over Everton just a week after his debut.

Sheffield United clearly wanted to keep hold of Jebbison, and this £1.5 million fee isn’t much consolation.
While he obviously had serious fitness issues last season, there is no denying his potential to improve as a forward.
United needs to solve their financial and takeover issues quickly, as it is costing them the chance to compete in the market and build a team capable of fighting for promotion next season.
