We recently reported that Adam Idah was named in Norwich City’s starting XI for their pre-season friendly against Club Brugge. The inference being that while Idah gets game time with Norwich a potential deal with Celtic seems further off than people might thin

Norwich City’s new manager, Jacob Thorup, seems determined to evaluate Idah’s potential thoroughly during the pre-season. However, the early substitution during the friendly against Club Brugge has surprised us. They made most of their other subs st the hour mark, like you tend to see.
Norwich’s official social media channel claimed that the decision to sub Idah off at 33 minutes was planned, adding to the peculiarity of the situation.
Idah’s loan spell at Celtic last season was a major success. Unfortunately, the Scottish champions have still not thrashed out a fee to make him a percent fixture in Glasgow.
Celtic began their pre-season training in the USA this week and right now they only have one recognised senior striker in Kyogo.
We wonder while talks are still ongoing whether Idah will remain on the fringes of the side with limited minutes. We’ll be keeping an eye on how he is utilised in the next week.
The match will take place at Carrow Road on Saturday, August 3, kicking off at 3pm, presented by Eleven Sports Media.
