Argyle will travel to Watford in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, 27 August. The match will take place at Vicarage Road with a 7.45pm kick-off. The Greens progressed to round two with a 3-0 victory over Cheltenham Town at Home Park, goals coming from Ben Waine, Ryan Hardie and Mustapha Bundu.

The sides have met only once in the EFL Cup; a game in 2001/02 which Argyle, then in the fourth tier, lost to a Watford team recently relegated from the Premier League, and managed by Gianluca Vialli. Marcus Gayle scored the only goal of the game. Ticket details for the match will be confirmed in due course.
