Young Bournemouth midfielder Dominic Sadi has tonight become Carlisle United’s tenth summer signing.
The 20-year-old has joined on a season-long loan, following Cherries team-mate Daniel Adu-Adjei to Brunton Park.
United boss Paul Simpson has long been searching for an attacking midfield option in the transfer market.
And he is delighted to have made Sadi his second loan signing of the summer so far, the young player having made four first-team appearances for his Premier League parent club, where he recently signed a new long-term deal.
“I think he’s a really exciting young footballer and his record in the development teams with Bournemouth is excellent.
“He’s somebody who can get goals and he’s a creative player, so I’m hoping for goals and assists from him.
“He’s jumped at the opportunity to come and have this chance to play first team football and I’m looking forward to seeing him working.
“He’s a good friend of Dan [Adu-Adjei] and I asked him about him when we were thinking about signing him. He gave him a glowing reference and from what we’ve seen of him, we think he’ll add something different to the group
Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has warned his players of the challenge they will face when Newcastle United visit the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Cherries kicked off their Premier League season with a 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest on Saturday after a goal from former Magpies striker Chris Wood was cancelled out by a late equaliser from Cherries forward Antoine Semenyo. The draw ensured Iraola’s side carried on some of the momentum built up by a promising first year under the former Rayo Vallecano boss after he led his side to a mid-table finish last season.
