Browns Add Notable Kicker To The Team

Free agency is about two months away, and four NFL clubs are still vying for a title.

But that doesn’t mean Cleveland Browns’ Andrew Berry can’t continue to modify his roster.

Lucas Havrisik, who spent time on the Browns’ practice squad this season, is back with the team.

After releasing veteran Brett Maher, the Los Angeles Rams signed Havrisik away from Cleveland in October.

He survived the most of the season in Los Angeles, despite making only 15 of 20 field goals and missing three extra points.

In Week 13, Havrisik made four extra points and two of three field goals against the Browns.

In Week 11, he scored a 22-yard field goal to defeat the Seattle Seahawks.

But on New Year’s Eve, he missed two extra points in a 26-25 win over the New York Giants.

All of Havrisik’s missed field goals were from more than 40 yards, contradicting his big-leg reputation.

During his senior season at Arizona, the kicker made 11 of 16 attempts from beyond 50 yards.

Havrisik previously held the Arizona record with a 57-yard blast.

His performances this year, however, suggest that he still needs to work on his skill in order to make an impact in the NFL.

Cleveland’s new player also punted for the Wildcats.
