According to Football Insider, Tottenham have chosen to keep Emerson Royal beyond the current window since Ange Postecoglou is impressed with the Brazilian’s performances. The 25-year-old utility guy could have a significant impact on the rest of the season by stepping in at different spots in the defense.

Emerson Royal was essentially surplus to needs in the summer, but remained at Tottenham after the transfer deadline. Pedro Porro had already taken his spot since his January arrival, as the Spaniard began the new season as Ange Postecoglou’s first choice right defender.

With suggestions that Tottenham could have signed the Brazilian in January, he has put in some standout performances during an injury crisis at the back. Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero have missed numerous games, and Postecoglou chose the 25-year-old utility player over someone more natural than Eric Dier.

With Dier already gone and Tottenham electing to re-loan Djed Spence, Emerson might play a key role in the second half of the season. While they accepted that the 25-year-old utility man is not a natural centre-back by signing Radu Dragusin, the Brazilian may still be considered Porro’s first-choice right-back backup.

According to reports, Tottenham turned down Al-Nassr’s offer for Emerson and are now determined to keep him. They may reconsider their decision in the summer, but for the time being, Postecoglou regards the Brazilian as a ‘essential player’ due to his remarkable performances in critical situations.

According to reports, Tottenham rejected Al-Nassr’s offer for Postecoglou because they were satisfied with the effectiveness of their transfer operation. First, RB Leipzig loaned Timo Werner with a buy option, and then Tottenham signed crucial defensive target Radu Dragusin despite fierce opposition from Bayern Munich.
